Why we Need to Study Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a habit you develop to make yourself comfortable in challenging times and retain your inner peace. It was developed as a coping mechanism for patients with severe medical illnesses. It later found application as a way of handling the daily life challenges we face. It continues to be applied in even more areas. There is hardly any success if you were to go any other route.
You will not gain anything positive of all you do is think of the negatives you are experiencing. You shall more likely to make things worse. The vicious cycle feeds in itself, and gathers enough momentum to render any positive effort at improvement useless. The way we think matters a lot to the way we live. Those areas you mostly focus on are the areas your life is most likely to head towards.
To help you overcome any adversity, it is best to focus on all efforts to get better. This is accelerated by the positive and kind thoughts you have. You can even go out of your mind and think of positives form other areas. You can, for example, think of your loved ones and how lucky you are to have them in your life. There shall be a reaction in your body that shall introduce healing properties into it. You thus need to remain mindful of the type and quality of your thoughts as you aim to get better at it. The chemicals dopamine and oxytocin are released whenever you have positive thoughts on your mind. This shall then calm the body, and allow it to heal.
Once you have studied mindfulness, you shall develop the right mindset and tricks to bring your mind to a place of calm and focus. There may be the learning of chants as a way of bringing your mind to a state of peace whenever agitated.
You shall cope better with a situation you have come to accept. Positivity always leads to more positivity, and supports all positive efforts at getting better.
